Summary:
The Operations Supervisor is the first line of support and supervision over the actual delivery of care and transport service for the operating division.
The primary responsibility of the Operations Supervisor is to direct and support field personnel to ensure cost effective, professional delivery of service and care to customers/patients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS:
o Support quality field operations through daily contact, oversight, communication, and evaluation of field staff.
o Act as a liaison between the company and its patients, public safety agencies, training institutions, hospital representatives, and other applicable personnel.
o Mentor employees, conduct performance evaluations, provide disciplinary actions to assigned personnel, and facilitate individual and team development to drive positive results.
o Work with other members of the Management and Supervisory team to minimize problems, correct staffing and scheduling issues, and continuously improve service.
o Participate in the development, formulation, modification, and implementation of department policies, standards, regulations, and general operating guidelines and procedures associated with EMS delivery.
o Maintain appropriate staffing levels for field units, manage shift calendars, and cover open shifts with appropriate employee assignments.
o Supervise the effective operation, utilization, and maintenance of medical apparatus and equipment.
o Thoroughly investigate incidents and complaints involving assigned units or personnel and resolve in the best manner possible.
o Prepare reports and manage projects as assigned by the Operations Manager.
o Assure that all necessary payroll is properly completed and submitted in a timely manner.
o Assist with and engage in the recruitment and training of new employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
o EMS Field Experienceo Past EMS supervisory experienceo Field Training officer experience or Instructor experienceEducation/Certifications:
o High school diploma or equivalent (GED)o State Paramedic or EMT Certificationo State Driver's Licenseo Driving record compliant with company policyo Pass Physical Agility Testo BLS, ACLS,Why Choose US?
