Nurse Residency Coordinator

Overview:
The Clinical Educator/Unit Based Educator, under supervision of their manager and/or Director and in collaboration with the specialty department leadership teams, is responsible for implementation of education programs for staff and assisting education in other department, assisting with hospital-wide educational initiatives, and offering onboarding education for new colleagues and new nurse residents.
The education programs and other educational initiatives will be based on current evidence based /research (EBP) and incorporating guidelines.
The Clinical Educator/System Educator will support the specialty units/departments by leading/facilitating education opportunities and onboarding processes through mentoring, EBP, ANCC, research, quality, and process improvement to improve patient satisfaction, colleague engagement, healthy work environment, standard processes, patient safety, patient outcomes, and cost savings strategies.
Responsibilities:
Operations Implements, maintains and operates education programs, skills labs, and use of simulation for staff.
Assists with education opportunities with specialty departments with hospital wide educational initiatives as needed for staff.
Facilitation Implements onboarding orientation and education programs, skills labs, use of simulation for new colleagues and participants in the new nurse residency training programs.
Colleague Devolpment Works with students, new colleagues, and hospital staff by leading /facilitating projects through mentoring, incorporating use of EBP and ANCC guidelines to promote staff engagement, staff teamwork, patient safety, and quality.
Coordination Coordinates the development of educational content of programs and skills labs for staff and training programs.
Monitors the quality of the instruction and evaluation of the participants to assure the quality of the programs and skills labs.
Compliance/Safety Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employees area of responsibility.
If required for position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.
Completes all company mandatory modules and required job specific training in the specified time frame.
Responsible for reporting any safety related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner.
Qualifications:
EducationHigh School Diploma or GED- RequiredBSN or MSN- PreferredCertification & LicensuresActive, unrestricted, Arizona RN License- RequiredBLS (American Heart Assoc.
)- RequiredACLS/PALS/NRP (per specialty)- RequiredNational certification per specialty- Required within one year of hireExperienceMinimum of three years experience in specialty area - RequiredPrevious education/teaching experience - PreferredHealthcare is a rapidly changing environment and technology is integrated into almost all aspects of patient care.
Computers and other electronic devices are utilized across the organization and throughout each department.
Colleagues must have an understanding of computers, and competence in using computers and basic software programs.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
